Bronx middle school students advised to start thinking about high school choices

Department of Education officials say now is the time for Bronx students in middle school to start thinking about which high school they want to attend. Officials held an information fair at IS 162 Tuesday to guide students through the enrollment process. Students are advised to look at potential schools with their parents before selecting their top 12 choices. Members of the Department of Education say 70 percent of students get into one of the top three schools of their choice. They also say 10 new small schools are expected to open in the Bronx this year.
