Water in the Bronx and throughout NYC among the nation's best

The latest tests results on Bronx and city water may have residents trading in their bottled water for tap water. Test results show water quality in the Bronx and city is among the best in the country. Officials from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) say they are working hard to keep it that way.The DEP tests city water seven days a week to make sure it is clean enough to drink. Each sample is scanned and registered in a computer that records data for sampling areas in the city. Residents, who think they may have lead in their water, can call the DEP who will perform PH level and bacteria tests.
