Bronx students attending summer school classes can expect some changes

The school year is coming to an end and Bronx students attending summer school classes can expect some changes. The Department of Education?s Summer Success Academy is being extended to Bronx and city fifth-graders. The academy is an intensive program for students who failed citywide tests this year. The program was originally launched last summer for third-graders in hopes to put an end to social promotion.
