Man hit by car in University Heights in critical condition, police search for driver

A Bronx man hit by a car in University Heights Monday remains in critical condition, as police search for one of the drivers involved. Jose Perez was driving the car that hit the 52-year-old man at the corner of Jerome Avenue and 184th Street.Perez says the accident occurred when the driver of the other car hit the side of his car, pushing it toward the victim. Perez says the man was hit and rolled under a parked car. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. The driver of the other car fled the scene. Police, however, have located that car but have not yet found the driver.
