Volunteers gather in Castle Hill to build playground in memory of 5-year-old

Hundreds of volunteers gathered in Castle Hill Thursday to give kids a new place to play and also honor a Bronx 5-year-old. Volunteers from the Castle Hill YMCA, Home Depot and the group Kaboom worked to build a new playground that will ultimately serve thousands of local kids. The location was chosen in part because of Home Depot employee Sherine Simmons who recently lost her son Marquis. She says he went to school in the neighborhood and loved to play -- now his memory will live on. This is the first time Home Depot and Kaboom have partnered up for a project like this in the Bronx.
