Three Bronx football stars get set to take on the Island
Three Bronx football stars are getting ready to take on the Island Thursday.
The three men are headed out to Long Island to play in Boomer Esiason's Annual Empire Challenge All-Star game. The game pits the best football players in the city against all-stars from Long Island.
JFK linebacker Lawrence Rolle was named captain of the defense. He is joined by starters Shaun Lewis, a linebacker from Mount St. Michael, and Cardinal Hayes defensive tackle Perry Myers.
Long Island currently holds a 4-3 advantage in the seven-year series against the city's stars.
