Bronx borough president's 2006 budget to benefit seniors and low-income families
Help is on the way for seniors, low-income families, schools and libraries as the Bronx borough president unveils his 2006 capital budget.
Under Adolfo Carrion Jr.'s new plan, most of the $19 million budget will go towards school improvements, library construction, community center renovations, and affordable housing. In addition, money will be set aside for parks, cultural centers and road projects.
Carrion hopes pouring money into each of the areas he designated will help improve the economy in the Bronx.
