Transit workers reveal the hazards underground at some Bronx subways

Members of the Transit Workers Union spoke out Friday about the potential dangers lurking underground at some Bronx subway stations.

One of the stations on the workers list was the 149th Street and Grand Concourse station. Workers say they have found loose handrails, exposed wires and running boards that are a tripping hazard. The workers add that conditions like the ones at the 149th Street and Grand Concourse exist all over the Bronx.

The workers are calling on the MTA to fix the dangers before riders are injured. MTA officials are not commenting on the matter.
