Bronx stars urge youth to stay off the streets
Rappers and music producers attending the third annual ?Stop the Violence? day all sang the same message to Bronx youth: violence does not advance anyone in life.
James McNear who founded ?Stop the Violence? says he wanted to give back to the community. The free festival that was held in Matilda Park offered patrons food, music and games. The main attraction is a basketball tournament where players from all over the Bronx lace up their shoes and practice their slam dunks.
Christian Wyatt, otherwise known as Fishskel, performed at this year?s festival.
