Campers at Mount Saint Michael learning how to swing batter, batter

From the first crack of the bat to the first home run hit out of the ballpark, Mount Saint Michael opened its first summer baseball camp Monday.

Approximately 30 children between grades 4 through 8 donned their baseball caps and headed to the mound. Head baseball Coach Wally Stampfel and his staff taught the campers about the 9-inning game.

The kids say they are learning everything from hitting the cutoff man to improving their hitting technique.
