Petition drive kicks off to save affordable housing in the Bronx
A petition drive to save affordable housing in the Bronx kicked off Thursday.
Councilwoman Annabel Palma and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Andrew Cuomo put together the drive to keep affordable housing. The petition is in protest of the proposed budget cuts by the Bush administration.
Palma says Bush?s proposed budget for 2006 includes a nearly 12 percent cut to the Housing and Urban Development budget in the Bronx.
