Former Fordham Quarterback Kevin Eakin makes NFL debut at Hofstra University

Former Fordham Quarterback Kevin Eakin made his NFL debut when the New York Jets opened training camp at Hofstra University Friday. Eakin stepped onto the field wearing the number eight alongside Jets Quarterbacks Chad Pennington, Jay Fiedler and Brooks Bollinger. Eakin spent the year after graduation working with his former Fordham Coach Dave Clawson at Richmond before signing with the Jets in January. Eakin is one of three Bronx residents working with the Jets this season. He joins Jets Offensive Line Coach Doug Morrone, who is starting his fourth season with the team, and his former teammate at Fordham, Kirwin Watson, who is a Jets scout.
