Bronx computer center gives residents more than one reason to get online

The Compass Computer Center in the Bronx is giving residents more than one reason to get online. The center, located on East 180th Street, contains 60 state-of-the-art desktop computers. In addition to providing the community with access to the Internet, the center is also a safe haven for several Bronx children. Students attending the center say not only do they learn computer skills, but they can also talk about their problems with directors they trust. Parents who want to sign up their kids must go to the center to register. The center is open Monday through Saturday.
