Officials break ground on Bronx affordable housing project

Local politicians along with the Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation broke ground Wednesday on the Jacob?s Place affordable housing project.

The project?s blueprints include 63 apartments. Renters will make their checks out from anywhere between $542 a month for a one-bedroom apartment to $920 a month for a three-bedroom apartment.

Jacob?s Place is named after the late Astin Jacob, a Bronx activist who fought to preserve affordable housing.
