MTA survey finds Bronx riders not completely satisfied
Despite having spent billions of dollars on improving transit lines, the 2004 Metropolitan Transportation Authority?s annual rider survey finds passengers still are not satisfied.
According to the survey, the system was rated a 6.1 out of ten. Passengers gave poor marks for overcrowding and the 5 line. In contrast to the 5 line?s low grade, the 1 train was rated the best overall.
The survey of 1,000 riders also found most passengers, despite recent fare hikes, find pricing to be reasonable compared to other means of transportation throughout the city.
