Areas of Bronx are being sprayed to reduce risk of West Nile virus

Northeastern Bronx residents are being asked to make sure their windows are closed Monday night when city officials drive around spraying for mosquitoes.

Officials are spraying the area with pesticides after tests showed positive signs some mosquitoes contain the West Nile virus.

The mosquito spraying will includes areas whose zip codes are 10461, 10465, 10466, 10469 and 10475. The spraying will begin at 8:15 p.m. on Monday and will last until 6 a.m. Tuesday.Related Story
