Construction stropped on seven-story apartment building in Kingsbridge Heights

A Kingsbridge developer weighs his options after being told to stop building a seven-story apartment building. The Board of Standards and Appeals told Paris Giannopolous to stop work on the lot he bought four months before the city changed the area?s zoning laws so only one and two-family homes can be built.

Neighbors say they are relieved by the council?s decision. They say the planned apartment building was not conducive to the area since schools are already full and parking is limited.

Giannopolous has 30 days to file a motion that would sue the Board of Standards and Appeals for making what he calls an erroneous decision.Related Story
