Rams football team getting ready to rumble

Fordham University held its first football practice of the season Wednesday as the team looks to improve on last year?s 5-6 record.

Coach Ed Foley noted a shift in balance from last year?s defensive-oriented squad. Foley said the team lost a lot of its defensive leaders to graduation and will rely on more experienced offensive players.

Leading the way is junior quarterback Derric Daniels, who last season set school records for completions, touchdown passes and passing yards by a first-year player.

The Patriot League sports information directors and coaches predict Fordham to finish in fourth place.
