Police continue to patrol Bronx stations after drop in terror threat

The Homeland Security Office lowered the terror threat level for the mass transit sector from high to elevated.

The nation was on high alert for 36 days following the London bombings. However, the NYPD say despite dropping down a level, they will still conduct random bag searches at transit entrances and will continue to have extra officers patrolling station platforms.

Officials continue to ask Bronx riders and transit worker for their cooperation by reporting any suspicious activity to authorities.
