GHI Bronx Tennis Classic is a court full of upsets

Players at the GHI Bronx Tennis Classic are serving nothing but upsets.

The number two and three seeds are gone from both the men?s and women?s draw and one of the top doubles teams was eliminated on Thursday. In the women?s doubles, it was Tatiana Poutchek and Anastassia Yakimova who slammed the number two seeds Jennifer Hopkins and Milagros Sequera out of the tournament. However, the number one seeds, Ting Li and Tian Tian Sun will still be swinging for another win after advancing to the quarters.

In women?s singles, top seed Julia Schruff of Germany has advanced to play the 2002 champ Ashley Harkleroad in the quarterfinals. In the men?s singles, Japan?s Takao Suzuki backhanded America?s Brian Wilson out of the tournament.
