Freight train derailment in Hunts Point still causing delays on Amtrak
Amtrak is still experiencing delays Tuesday night after a freight train derailed in Hunts Point.
Amtrak service between Penn Station and New Haven, Connecticut was knocked out after a CSX freight derailed at the Oak Point Yard Station at around 7:15 a.m. Amtrak officials say all Tuesday services have been suspended and may continue into Wednesday.
Metro-North says it is honoring tickets for passengers traveling between Grand Central Station and New Haven. Metro-North says it will continue to honor tickets as long as necessary.
No one was hurt in Tuesday?s accident and investigators are still searching for a cause.
