Maritime College makes first football debut in more than a decade

After more than a decade without football, Maritime College officially opened its first training camp this week. Head Coach Clayton Kendrick Holmes will lead the Throgs Neck school into competition as a club team this year, with a move to full NCAA status on the Division III level next year. Both the players and coaches say the opening of training camp is a good first step.
