Bronx man arrested in accidental shooting of 8-month-old son

Police arrested a Bronx man after he brought his infant son to a hospital with a bullet wound to the child?s knee Sunday.

Investigators believe 39-year-old Daniel Jones accidentally fired his weapon at his home striking his 8-month-old son. According to authorities, one other child was in the room when the incident occurred.

The staff at Lincoln Medical Center had called police after Jones arrived with his wounded son. The child is in stable condition. Jones has been charged with assault, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment and child endangerment.
