Lehman legend Reyes back in the Bronx as assistant Fordham coach

(08/31/05) THE BRONX ? Bronx native and Lehman College baseball legend Kiko Reyes is back in his hometown as an assistant coach for the Fordham Rams.

Reyes brings along some impressive baseball credentials to his new position. In addition to capturing the CUNY Player of the Year award twice while at Lehman, Reyes was also named the 1995 Division III batting champ. The new Fordham coach is also a member of the Lehman College Hall of Fame.

Reyes? new job reunites him with his old Lehman coach, and current Fordham coach, Nick Restaino. According to Restaino, Reyes? enthusiasm and love of baseball will have a positive aspect on many members of the team.
