Residents call for end to gun violence after shooting death of Bronx girl

Family members are calling for changes to gun laws in wake of the shooting death of a 10-year-old Bronx girl. Luz Gonzalez?s granddaughter was shot and killed by a stray bullet on Labor Day. Gonzalez joined New Yorkers and Bronx leaders to call for an end to gun violence Thursday. According to New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, many guns used to commit crimes on Bronx streets originate from southern states. They say not enough is being done to stop the flow of guns into the borough. Community leaders say they hope changes are made soon, otherwise they're afraid the cycle of gun violence will take another innocent life.
