Parkchester residents hold donation drive for hurricane victims

Whether it?s a nationally televised fundraiser or a lemonade stand, Americans are doing their part to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, and Parkchester residents are no exception.

Residents got together for a donation drive benefiting hurricane victims. Volunteers collected money, clothing, shoes, blankets and non-perishable food items to be given to the AmeriCares organization.

Organizers say they will continue collecting goods by placing bins at locations throughout Parkechester.Related Story
