Bronx residents infected with West Nile virus recovering at home

Two Bronx residents infected with West Nile virus are recovering at their homes, but health officials say they are still taking preventative measures. Officials say the victims, who were both infected in August, are not expected to die from the virus. City officials, however, say they are taking the situation very seriously and will continue to spray for mosquitoes until the summer ends. Health officials want to make sure Bronx residents are taking precautions. They advise residents to use bug repellant with lemon eucalyptus, wear protective clothing, clear away standing water and repair any holes in window screens.
