BJ?s Wholesale Store resubmits application to come to the BronxPosted: Updated:
Related, the developer looking to bring BJ?s Wholesale Club to the Bronx, has resubmitted an application.
Earlier this year, Related filed an application with the City Council Land Use Committee, which unanimously turned it down. The committee cited traffic, environmental concerns and anti-union practices as reasons for rejecting the proposal.
In August, Related re-filed its plan with the Planning Commission. In the new proposal, BJ?s says it has conducted additional traffic and environmental-impact studies to see how the store would affect the Bronx. The commission is reviewing the application to see if previous concerns have been addressed.
