Hundreds of Bronx residents left in the dark after manhole fire

Hundreds of Bronx residents were left without power Monday night after a manhole fire.

Residents near the intersection of Fordham Road and Loring Place say they saw smoke coming from a grate and called the fire department. Fire officials say an entire block was left in the dark. Many residents say this is the second time in one week they lost power due to a manhole fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
