Monsignor Scanlan field of dreams dedicated to an All-American hero

The Monsignor Scanlan baseball team recently unveiled its very own field of dreams and dedicated it to an All-American hero.

Past and present school members along with local leaders gathered to name the field after well-known graduate LT Terence M. Murphy. Terence was a member of the Class of 1957 and played baseball on the world famous championship team. Following high school, Murphy went on to the Naval Academy where he made the ultimate sacrifice in the Vietnam War.

Murphy's family members were on hand for the dedication.
