Toddler in stable condition after falling from fifth-floor apartment window in Tremont

A toddler is in stable condition after falling from a fifth-floor window in Tremont.

Police say 3-year-old Juden Gutierrez was jumping on a bed with another toddler when he accidentally fell out of the window. Authorities say the only thing separating the bed from the window was an air conditioner, which was knocked out during the fall. A neighbor was able to save the other child from completely falling out of the window.

Gutierrez was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital and then transferred to Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.
