Bronx school pilots domestic violence awareness program

A Bronx school is one of only two schools in the city chosen to pilot a program aimed at reducing domestic violence.

Ninth-graders at the Eagle Academy for Young Men began their first lesson Tuesday in the ?Love is not Abuse Program.? The program is designed to teach students how to prevent physical, sexual and verbal abuse. The students were required to read a story on abuse, define why its wrong and what they would do to prevent it.

The students have two lessons remaining in domestic violence awareness.Related Link:Love is not Abuse
