Torrential rain causes ceiling to collapse at a Bronx auto repair shop

The never-ending rain Wednesday not only flooded roadways, but also caused a ceiling to collapse at a Bronx auto repair shop.

Two men suffered minor injuries when the ceiling at an auto shop came crashing down. A fire chief on the scene said the collapse occurred because of the heavy rain.

Meanwhile, the rain has left many area roadways flooded. Two areas to avoid are the southbound Bruckner Expressway near Westchester Avenue and East Fordham Road. Meteorologists expect the rain to continue and say the area is under a coastal flood watch.
