Bronx high school employee charged with raping student

A Bronx high school employee is accused of raping a 15-year-old student.

Jessie Lozada, 24, is a school aide at Jane Addams High School. He is charged with rape and endangering the welfare of a child. A Department of Education spokesperson says a teacher walked in on Lozada and the female student in an empty classroom. The DOE says the girl was pulling up her pants and Lozada was dressing himself when the teacher walked in.

The DOE says the girl told police she had sex with Lozada on five separate occasions. Lozada has been suspended without pay.
