Mayoral candidate Ferrer delivers speech in campaign home stretch

Mayoral candidate and former Bronx borough president Fernando Ferrer held what his campaign dubs ?a major speech? Tuesday.

Ferrer reiterated his campaign theme that there are two New York?s, which he says his running mate Mayor Michael Bloomberg fails to understand. Ferrer says he speaks for all of New York including the homeless and sick. Ferrer says despite trailing by 20 points in the latest polls, he is confident in his ability to win. Ferrer says the polls predicted he was not going to win the Democratic primary held in September and he proved them wrong.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg?s camp was contacted for comment on Ferrer?s speech.
