Bronx parents warned not to let kids carry fake guns on Halloween

As Halloween approaches, Bronx parents are warned not to let their children carry fake guns with their costumes.

Officials say fake guns could possibly lead to dangerous or even fatal consequences. The Department of Consumer Affairs announced it cited dozens of stores over the past two months for illegal sales of dark-colored fake guns. Department officials say the only fake guns that are legal to sell are brightly colored. They say silver, camouflage and dark-colored guns with bright-orange tips are illegal.

Bronx residents are urged to call the Department of Consumer Affairs to report any stores selling illegal fake guns.
