Family rivalry played out on the field between Spellman and Fordham
Two Catholic schools went helmet to helmet hoping to win both the football game and family bragging rights.
Fordham Preparatory School played Cardinal Spellman High School Saturday. Rams injured wide receiver Joseph DeSimone Jr. had to watch both the game and his father, Spellman head Coach Joseph DeSimone Sr., from the sidelines.
At the end of the first half, Spellman led 7-6. However, the Rams came charging hard and dominated the second half, winning the game 28-13.
