Bronx man saves lives even after his death

A Bronx man shot and killed last weekend is saving lives even after his death.

Maria Padro says her husband Joseph would always lend a helping hand. That?s why she decided to have his organs donated after he was taken off life support. His organs were given to a 16-year-old boy and a 25-year-old.

Padro was killed Saturday night. The Bronx district attorney says the 15-year-old charged with attempted murder will be tried as an adult. Another 17-year-old was also arrested and is being charged with illegal weapons possession.
