Woman struck and killed during cab heist in the Bronx

A taxi theft turned fatal after a Bronx woman was hit Monday morning.

Police say the driver of the heisted cab lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked car on University Avenue. According to authorities, the parked vehicle then hit 61-year-old Rosa Roman. Roman was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
