District manager of Community Board 10 wins City Council seat

The district manager of Community Board 10 has been elected to the City Council.

James Vacca defeated Republican Philip Foglia by a two-to-one margin in the 13th District City Council race. The seat was left vacant after incumbent Madeline Provenzano stepped down because of term limits.

Vacca, who has served for 30 years in the Bronx, says that as a member of the City Council he will continue to be the voice for Bronx residents.
