Fordham Rams soccer team kicks away state title

The Fordham University soccer team was hoping to bend it better than superstar player David Beckham when they played for the state title against Saint Anthony?s.

Before the game, Rams Coach Jim McElderry hoped to jump kick his players motivation with a pep talk. The speech must have worked during the first half of the game, with the Rams able to prevent their opponents from scoring. The match remained scoreless and a nail-bitter until its final 45-minutes, when St. Anthony?s scored their first point of the game.

Fordham ran hard, hoping to convert but their efforts just missed the goal. The Rams lost Saturday?s game 2-0 and are second in the state.
