YWCA looks to help Bronx smokers quit 'cold turkey'

In an effort to help smokers in the Bronx quit ?cold turkey,? the YWCA is offering free nicotine patches Thursday.

As part of the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout, the patches are being distributed until 5 p.m. Participants will also be eligible for three and six-month follow up phone sessions.

For more information about the dangers of smoking or for tips on how to quit, check out the American Cancer Society Web site.
