Cardinal Hayes hopes to become next CHSFL champs

Cardinal Hayes High School is playing for more than a solitary win this weekend. The 5-3 team is playing Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School for a chance to become the 2005/2006 Catholic High School Football League (CHSFL) champs.

Players from Cardinal Hayes hope the November 19 game will not be a déjà vu of last year when they lost to Bishop Ford 8-6. Players say despite Ford?s impressive size, they feel confident they can win due to their determined work ethic and improved offense.

The championship game will be held at Tully Park at 1:30 p.m.
