AAA offers holiday travel advice to Bronx residents

Long lines and traffic jams often come with the Thanksgiving holiday, but representatives from AAA say there are things Bronx residents can do to make it to dinner on time.

Officials urge drivers to leave early if heading out of town and stay late to avoid traffic. They also say drivers should know alternate routes in case traffic is heavy. Anyone traveling by air is urged to keep identification on them at all times and keep carryon luggage to a minimum.

Representatives from AAA are also reminding drivers not to drink and drive.
