Bronx church praises Thanksgiving and re-opening

The Christian Community Church has plenty to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day.

In addition to celebrating turkey day, the church is re-opening its doors to the public. For the past eight months, the Longfellow Avenue church was closed due to renovations. To celebrate, members stuffed their day with a parade and turkey giveaway, helping Bronx residents in need.

Church members estimate they have enough turkeys and groceries to help an estimated 150 families.
