Bronx protesters want stores to unload all toy gun sales
A Bronx advocacy group fired away outside a local department store Saturday urging the removal of toy guns.
The Patterson Volunteer Committee, which protested outside of Rays Department Store, wants stores to stop selling toy guns and parents to stop buying them. A 2003 City Council investigation shows that over a four year time period, there were more than 1,400 crimes citywide involving toy guns.
In New York, it is illegal to sell any toy gun that looks real.
