Hunts Point stores not netting expected business from Fulton Fish Market

Several Hunts Point businesses swimming on the outskirts of the new Fulton Fish Market say they have not reeled in the amount of customers anticipated.

Despite the lack of sales, store owners say they remain optimistic that business will eventually rise. Owners say they originally anticipated a large clientele after the market opened thanks to several new employees and merchants at the Fulton Fish Market.

Many store owners say one deterrent affecting business is the $5 admission fee at the market?s gates.
