Bronx transit workers rally to encourage better contract from MTA

Transport union workers rallied Tuesday in an effort to improve their working conditions.

Transit workers are threatening to strike by December 15 if the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) does not meet union demands of better dental coverage, increased wages and retirement plans that parallel the NYPD and FDNY. Workers say the MTA plans to increase their job duties without higher pay. The contract is set to expire soon.

Transit workers say for the next two weeks, Tuesdays will be ?Days of Action? and they will march in protest of the MTA.
