Bronx kids learn every cent counts

It is never to early to start saving and Bronx children attested to this theory at the ?Children Making Cents? workshop Saturday at Monroe College.

The seminar, which included children between the ages of five and 16, taught kids the importance of money, how to save and how to invest. Some Monroe College students, along with Washington Mutual Bank administered the workshop.

Many of the attendants opened savings accounts after learning the value of the dollar. Sponsors from Monroe College pledged to give the children $5 every three months if their accounts remain open and active.
