Bronx residents urged to bundle up as snowstorm hits

Bronx residents began seeing snow early Friday and can expect to see up to five inches of the white stuff by the end of the day.

Residents who decide to venture out in the cold should bundle up with several layers of clothing. Those people walking on sidewalks should watch out for ice and slippery conditions. Drivers should use caution while navigating in the wintry mix. They should also be on the lookout for black ice.

Meanwhile, the city sent out snow plows to clear the roads. Crews are also sanding and salting roads and sidewalks for residents.
